Tourist Guidance Program
In the 2023 action plan of the Turkish Tourism Strategy, it is aimed to increase the share of tourism by using the natural, cultural, historical and geographical values of our country and by developing tourism alternatives. In line with this goal, tourism investments in our country have accelerated in recent years; the number of visiting tourists has increased and the need for qualified tourist guides has become evident. In addition, the standards of the tourist guiding profession were defined and tourist guiding became a favorite profession with the Tourist Guidance Law that came into force in 2012.
Graduates of the Tourist Guidance Program can apply for a job to become a licensed tourist guide when they complete the TUREB regional tours and language requirements specified in the legislation. In addition, even if they do not get a license, they have the background to arrange operations in the tourism sector, to lead tours, and to work in various positions in hotels.
Tourism Animation Program
Tourism Animation programs in our universities include compulsory courses related to the animator profession and general culture in order to train "Animator" "Recreation leaders" who can take part in indoor or outdoor leisure activities, entertainment departments, stage shows in places providing accommodation services or in different institutions or organizations. In addition to the compulsory courses, in the education plan, there are elective courses that students have the chance to choose according to their own preferences.
